Patricia Urquiola studied architecture at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and at the Politecnico di Milano where she graduated with Achille Castiglioni. She had worked with Vico Magistretti and later as head of design of Studio Lissoni Associati. In 2001 she opened her studio in Milan, specializing in industrial design, architecture, art direction and strategic consulting. Art director of Cassina since 2015, Patricia Urquiola collaborates with important Italian and international brands, including Haworth, Louis Vuitton, agape, B&B Italia, Moroso, Flos, Kvadrat, BMW, Starbucks and Ferrari. Some of her products are exhibited in the most important art and design museums in the world, such as the MOMA in New York, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, the Triennale Museum in Milan. She has been a lecturer in a number of universities worldwide. She is a member of the Advisory Board of the Politecnico di Milano and of the Scientific Committee of the Triennale di Milano Foundation.
