residential. “Palazzo MC is located in the historic center of the municipality of Cisternino, spread over four levels and overlooking the elegant town square,” explain the Puglia-based architects at Corsaro Architetti, who transformed an ancient palazzo in the southern Italian town of Cisternino into a modern day oasis, complete with skylights that flood the home with daylight, calming natural materials and a lush interior garden. “Characterised on the first floor by the original historical vaulted rooms, it is connected to the two upper floors through a suspended spiral staircase surrounded by greenery. This wild garden reconnects the home to nature by creating microclimate that guarantees psychophysical well-being.”
The designers explain that they arrived at their choice of Agape fixtures because of “the artisanal attention to detail, the essentiality of the object and the search for a design with human sensitivity,” they say. “These concepts that have guided us in the design of the home, as well as the choice of Agape. The Spoon XL bathtub inserted the natural wild garden emphasizes sensations and emotions that lead to well-being. Meanwhile, the stylistic variety has allowed us to integrate the Vieques washbasin's strong personality with the minimalist Bucatini mirror, helping to achieve a balance in such an intimate space as the domestic bathroom.”
