Aluminium

Aluminium is a soft, light metal, with a bright silver colour due to the thin oxide layer which quickly forms when it is exposed to the air. It is extremely resistant to atmospheric corrosion and therefore does not require any protective varnish, although it can take a wide range of finishes, from varnish coating to coloured anodising treatments. Aluminium is neither magnetic, nor toxic, nor flammable.

Maintenance

Clean with water and neutral Ph soap, using a soft, non-abrasive sponge. Rinse with lukewarm water and dry immediately with a clean cloth. Other than cleaning periodically, no maintenance is required.
