Lava stone
Lava stone is extracted from quarries on the slopes of Mount Etna. The surfaces of the stone, once processed, are baked again at a temperature of 1100°C bringing it back to magma state.
During the process, the stone, which is naturally light gray in color, is transformed into a dark, silky, homogeneous surface.

Maintenance
For normal cleaning use a damp cloth, preferably cotton and simple natural soap. Do not use either abrasive detergents or solvents. Daily usage wears the protective water-repellent coat, which can be reapplied as required with specific commonly marketed products.
